JAMES B. GILLILAND

James B. Gilliland, 514 west Market street, died at the home of his son, Clarence, four and a half miles south of the city Thursday night at 10:10 o’clock. Death was due to complications of diseases. Mr. Gilliland was a life long resident of the county. He was born near here seventy-two years ago and was married twice, the second time to Margaret Winton. Mr. Gilliland was a retired farmer and was well known over the county. He is survived by the widow, two sons, Clarence and Samuel; three grandsons, James, Daniel, and Robert; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Wray and Mrs. Mollie Smith; and one brother, William Gilliland. Mrs. Dorris Graham, who has made her home at the Gilliland residence for some time also survives. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Hunt and Ratcliff Funeral home on south Grant avenue with burial at Oak Hill.
